Getting Started in the API
The Dash API is available to qualified customers, and it is not turned on for every account. Ask Sales or Customer Service to confirm API access before building against it. Those customers can automate reporting, manage parts of the voice service, and connect other systems over ordinary HTTPS. API access does not include engineering help. When the account includes API support, use the contact path Sales or Customer Service already provided.

Introduction
VirtualPBX API access is available to qualified Dash customers. This API is not generally available to all Dash customers. Please contact the Sales or Customer Service team to verify the availability of your account.
The Dash API provided powerful capabilities for qualified customers to automate reporting, manage some aspects of the voice services provided by VirtualPBX, and integrate with 3rd party services.
Getting Support
API access does not include engineering support or assistance. You may contact our Sales team if you require engineering or technical assistance. We do publish information on high-level examples of how you can use the API to solve common business issues.
If your account includes API Support, please contact the team using the method provided by our Sales or Customer Service team.
Dash API
The Dash API is a REST API, that uses conventional HTTPS connections to provide access to the platform. VirtualPBX does not guarantee 3rd party services, customer-developed solutions, and/or ISP connections.
For an AI agent
Developers, who call the Dash API, paste this file:
https://docs.virtualpbx.com/skills/virtualpbx-developer/SKILL.md
Hosts that read the Agent Skills layout, including Claude, Codex, and Cursor, can load the virtualpbx-developer folder. It contains SKILL.md and references/tasks.md.
The skill is the procedure. The agent matches the request to one row in that skill’s task index, fetches that guide, and follows it. A developer agent follows the API guide.
Phone, texting, and billing tasks belong to the support skill at https://docs.virtualpbx.com/skills/virtualpbx/SKILL.md.
